BLC GLOSSARY OF TERMS & ACRONYMS
The following list of terms are from the BLC Glossary of Terms
BL – Biggest Loser
BLC – Biggest Loser Challenge
BF – Boyfriend or Best Friend
BFF – Best Friend Forever
CC – Captains Courageous
C25K – Couch to 5K. A program for beginning runners.
DD – Dear Daughter
DH – Dear Husband
DS – Dear Son
Floater – Someone who leaves the competitive portion of BLC before the end of 12 weeks. If a person goes floater 2 rounds in a row, they may be ineligible for the following round. A challenger may be moved to floater for many reasons, including but not limited to: posting fewer than 3 times per week, 2 unexcused missed weigh ins in a row or 3 unexcused misses total, a challenger's personal reason. Every effort is made by the captain to work with a challenger to avoid placement in floater status. A floater is welcome to post with his/her team; however, his/her weigh ins and/or challenge points do not count toward the team total.
FM – Fitness Minutes
Freggies – Fruits and/or Veggies
GOYB – Get Off Your Butt. These are quick activities designed to get your body movin' and groovin'!
GOYBAD – Get Off Your Butt and Dance. Similar to a GOYB but set to music.
IMHO – In My Honest (or Humble) Opinion
LCW – Last Chance Workout. Last chance effort before a weigh in. Usually done on Tuesdays
LMBO – Laugh My Butt Off
LOL – Laugh Out Loud
MIL/FIL – Mother-in-Law/Father-in-Law
MoM – Master of Maintenance. A person who is at or within 5 pounds of goal weight. This ACTIVE team member's challenge points count, they are still required to weigh in and post 3 times a week, but their weigh-ins don't count toward the TEAM's weigh in.
NSV – Non-Scale Victory. Victories that are related to our weight loss/healthy lifestyle journey, but not shown on the scale. Examples include, saying no to a second piece of cake, getting off of blood pressure medication, size 12 jeans fitting, etc.
OA – Overall
OA BL – Overall Biggest Loser
QOTD – Question (or Quote) of the Day
SAHM – Stay at Home Mom
SIL/BIL – Sister-in-law/Brother-in-law
ST – Strength Training
TnT – Tone 'N' Tighten. A one day challenge ran by some teams (sometimes head to head, sometimes just with your own team) and is usually ST related.
WE - Weekend Challenge
W/I – Weigh In (ON TIME – By midnight on Wednesdays)
